Sushi Jiro@Keppel Bay is truly a hidden gem. Hidden also from view, in a leafy perch atop the Marina building at Keppel Bay – the millionaires yachting playground that fronts Sentosa Island, it has a loyal local following.
Sushi Jiro is semi fine-dining Japanese Restaurant that is proud to offer high-quality Japanese cuisines with traditional fare such as sushi, teriyaki, noodles and light tempura fish and vegetables, the menu also offers delicacies created with flair and immaculate attention to detail.
The restaurant receives air-flown from Japan, fresh produce, four times a week, be sure to visit and try the succulent sashimi offerings of the day, or surrender to an omakase menu, (meaning you are happy to leave the sushi selection up to the chef). Sit up close to the chef, and let them explain to you about the fish selected, and the dish you are being served.
Choose from à la carte menu, or Set Lunch, Dinner menus and Omakase menus. Indoors the restaurant has spacious booths, kitchen-side bench dining, and two private rooms.
Outdoors, on a shaded terrace, two tables overlook the water and bustling marina, shaded by an enormous scented frangipani tree. These tables are also pet friendly.
Sushi Jiro was founded more than 20 years ago, by Nakano Jiro-San, whose mission was to provide a true and authentic Japanese experience, respecting the traditional Japanese methods of preparation, and serving Japanese cuisine, by seasoned and perfectionist Japanese chefs.
Such devoted hospitality delivers an immaculate meal, with the focus on fresh simple styles, intricate presentation, and stylish service, in an interior dotted with Japanese timbers and furnishings.
Locals may ask for a local resident discount, and can pre-book a pet friendly table.
